Ann delivers bespoke interior design services for luxury spaces, specializing in crafting personalized and curated environments that reflect each client's unique lifestyle. Ann is a seasoned designer with over 20 years of global experience and has created impressive spaces across South America, Asia, Europe, and throughout the United States, establishing herself as a leader in the field.

Ann’s career includes a notable 12-year tenure at the prestigious design firm Gensler, where she was instrumental in establishing their hospitality studio in Seattle. Her distinguished clients at Gensler included The Washington Post, Rolls Royce, The Latham Hotel, and Marriott. She also led retail design for Capital One Cafes, overseeing projects like the Capital One airport lounges and the flagship Capital One Cafe in Georgetown.

Ann’s expertise lies in infusing her clients’ personalities into their spaces, transforming artful form into functional luxury and creating memorable, delightful experiences. Known for her exceptional ability to anticipate and set trends, Ann constantly travels the globe for inspiration, ensuring her designs are both unique and meaningful.

Ann holds a B.S. in Interior Design from Virginia Tech and is certified by the NCIDQ and LEED green building standards. Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Living Etc, Homes & Gardens, Southern Living Magazine, Virginia Living Magazine, Home & Design Magazine as well as Arlington Magazine. She was also recently added to the AD Pro directory, and noted as one of 8 Interior Designers that you need to know in the Washington D.C area according to Architectural Digest.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ann enjoys exploring international cuisines, running with Adrian Maurice from Peloton, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and their cavapoo, Harry.

Holly Whitelaw

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Holly is our operations manager and has been the backbone of AGD since early 2021. She handles all project procurement, FF&E vendors, proposals, and day-to-day project and client needs.

She is from the mid-west and is the calm to any storm. Her background is in electrical contracting, as well as cosmetology.

In her spare time, she loves researching the latest beauty products and spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also has a much younger sister who looks like her identical twin!

Harry Potter

DESIGN ASSISTANT

Harry, our assistant and resident guardian, won’t be seen without a bow tie. He gives each aspect of our projects the “sniff test”, ensuring it meets the high bar our clients expect. If you come visit us, he will be the first to greet you at the front door. Fun fact: he was born on Valentines Day.

After living with blank walls for 2+ years, we knew we needed decorating help. I spoke with a few different designers before meeting Ann, and once I did, I knew she was the best by far. Ann is creative, intuitive, and responsive. She listened to our needs-- we wanted a beautiful aesthetic but had to make it work with our three young children.
